HNT 10 - "X" marks the spot----> I TOLD u I won't get u pregnant! Now lay back & relax! LOL

THIS, young ladies, is what a vas-ectomy scar looks like on THIS side of a scrotum. It has an adorable twin on the other side. It is left when the surgeon cuts one's scrotum open to find the vas deferens (spermatic cord), mash one piece of it in a hemostat and cut it out, cauterize the cut vas, and suture the scrotum shut. Sterilization is simpler & safer by far in a man than in the major surgery of a woman's hysterectomy. (I presume you know it does NOT interfere with the functioning of organs or testosterone because the man's testes are not removed as with your OTHER pets.)
Of course, my physician team worked only on one side at a time. The surgical understudy, Dr (Capt) Joann Angstad, must have made me her first guinea pig for this procedure. At least, she had an old head full Colonel urologist guiding her around MY crotch! I don't think he got her to put the anesthetic injection in the correct place in either vas though 'cause when she mangled the vas in her hemostat, it felt like the proverbial jackass had just kicked me BIGTIME in the gonads!

"JE-SUS CHRIST!" I exclaimed! That was the left side! "GOD!!!!!!!!" was my right-side response! Her clinical notes that I saw when I retired from the AF a few years later said, "Pt tolerated procedure well." Right, Doc... like u knew WTF it was all about as u gained experience for your rich, general practice in civilian life!
PS: I need help learning how to post the 2 fotos above as click-throughs for each other. If you can straighten me out (so to speak), please send me an eMail with explanation, steps, or a relevant reference. Thanks & HHNT!

The Other HNT has seen me -- Have You?

Time is tight like so many valuable things -- I've not been posting here so I could use the time to post on The Other HNT since August. If you've seen The Other HNT since then, you've seen a couple of more revealing pics of me. For that matter, why not tell us here if YOU'VE posted something more daring on T.O.H.N.T.? (Blog-names optional here -- I'm just curious how many different friends & blog visitors of mine I'm seeing there and don't even know it's them!)

Happy Half-Nekkid Hannukah
& Merry Half-Nekkid Christmas!
I send you Joyous Half-Nekkid Greetings
of
holiday bells & bushes!

Now, Shhh... Santa's getting ready to come....

HNT #8: Cool Cats & Jazz

A little tamer pic as I regroup & recover from my double bypass of 11 June. I have lost 2 months! 1/6 of a year having to be a couch potato and probably ripping stitches when I lift more than the 5# limit. Someone told me yesterday that it can take a year for full recovery! YIKES!!

HNT #5: When u ask them to use ur leg, they just MIGHT!

You'll note where the docs "harvested" one long vein from my right leg even tho' they left traces of 4-5 short scars to get it. Apparently, they cut sections which freed the whole vein to be pulled out as one piece so they could use it for the coronary bypass grafts in 2 or 3 places most efficiently.

Ain't nobody seen this much of me in many a long year, but I've been losing significant corpulence AFTER this pic so I really don't mind the public display much (altho' it seems rather immodest considering my upbringing.) All in the interest of education and scientific enlightenment -- OK, FSU, where's that doctorate I had 95% completed before the ex- bailed on me "no-fault" and still was given my savings intended for the dissertation tuition? (Damned Florida divorce judges & lawyers have ruined the institution of marriage!)

HNT #4: Be careful what you ask for -- You just might get it!

I'm Baaaccckk! [Sorta] This pic is proof that I reminded my cardiac surgeon (a good guy & US Navy vet of the Korean War era) of my request 2 weeks ago NOT to take the veins for grafting my bypass out of my arms, but to READ MY FOREARM NOTE when I was unconscious (bird notwithstanding, really)! Now, I've been home since Monday, a full week after I had to drive myself to the hospital for my OWN bypass (Yellow Cab never showed up for the hour's drive & their office had no record of my reserving them 12 hours earlier!) Real recovery is just starting here with a Physical Therapist, & an RN doing home health visits 2-3 times each week. This is highly preferable to a rehab hospital right now, and allows me access to my 'puta & my half-nekkid friends!

OK, I'll have to put the rest of this week's post-bypass chest pic in a new post! Check below: The tape covers dressings to absorb ooze from my chest drainage tubes inserted during the surgery for a couple days during ICU. After the holes heal over, I'll show you: 4 half-inch horizontal slits in a row; these rather thick tubes took up space that made deep breathing difficult & painful! Good thing I had the pain meds available then, but I run out in less than 40 hours (I definitely hope Dr. Campbell got the refill prescription faxed to the pharmacy in time to get it refilled this weekend!) I'll post the scar in the next post in a minute.
