HNT #32 - Angelo Dundee & Me!

I don't know if I was psychic in shaving my beard down to a "biker
'stache" a la Orange County Choppers (TV) fame. But do I look more like a boxing enthusiast this way, or what?

And it's only appropriate -- that's Angelo Dundee, world-famous trainer of Muhammad Ali at Angelo's 5th Street Gym in Philadelphia, PA. I had forgotten how MANY other Champion boxers he trained, to mention only Sugar Ray Leonard and George Foreman for now. (What MORE do you want?) OK, MANY more & he's now training Hector "Macho" Camacho on Camacho's current "comeback" in Texas! Macho won his July fight and is looking very good.

Angelo looks pretty good, too, but I was wilted when my favorite female bartender at WingHouse asked if he was about MY age -- say WHAT!!?? [God, I gotta lose more weight!] Since we were AT WingHouse where he & an agent had a whole display table of souvenirs (8 x 10 glossy pics of Muhammad and Angelo w/ hair, autographed red Everlast gloves, and autographed REAL Boxer shorts), my bartender babe had first-hand view of us both!

Andrea may have been fooled by my exhilaration at Angelo's telling me HE was an "Air Corps" vet and how we were immediately bonded as "brother Air Force vets." He signed his autograph "From one AF vet to another~Angelo" (459th Special Services Sq -- he clearly remembered his V-E Day unit)! I guess younger girl-people don't know Air Corps means WW2 (not Korea, Vietnam or later). Since he's shaved his head, he probably DOES look younger than his 85 years!!! And he IS in great shape! But Dear Readers, tell me in your Comments, don't I look younger now without my beard? How MUCH younger than I USED to? C'mon, lemme know!

OK, Andrea, my bar tab is going to be much lower as I make my diet much stricter so that I'll look 30 years younger than Angelo on his next visit! {And I still love you, BUT...Gimme a Break!} LOL

HNT #29: Color on the New Tat

I should explain the forearm band that I showed in detail at the end last week but ran out of time to describe. It was my first tattoo and came out so crummy that I had to have it redone ASAP at a different shop! It is a ropework knot woven around my arm in what is known as a Turk's Head knot which, when smaller and tighter, forms a perfect neckerchief slide for Boy Scouting. I had been an adult Scouter and Scoutmaster for over thirty years when I got this, my first tattoo. Mike of Agony Arts fixed it to look just like I had originally drawn it! Mine is the first part of the pattern of the Turk's Head and winds over and under the other rope parts of the knot like Celtic designs do. (A Scout Turk's Head neckerchief slide has 3 side-by-side trails woven over and under 3 other side-by-side trails all made out of one single, long strand of rope or macrame cord. )Ancient mariners used to tie intricate, mega-multi-trail Turk's Heads around the large masts on ships of old to wile away idle hours while at sea! Until just a few years ago, the US Navy used this fancy ropework to decorate ceremonial furniture & equipment, both shipboard and landside, until some safety monitor determined it was a fire hazard due to the hardened shellac covering placed to preserve the ropes.

You see above on the right, I got color added to my newest AFA tat & I like the Air Force blue! ....Duh! I mean, "Of course!"
This pic was taken right after "finishing" the tat at Agony Arts. I may grow back a little of my trimmed beard that USED to make me look "badder!" (Let me know if you like this or the other beard from last week-Which looks better?)

The 3- and 4-hour sessions in the tattoo chair made my butt numb &, frankly, I need to check my blood sugar at the shop before starting a session. Particularly, to keep my judgement clear about giving feedback & direction to the tattooist! With no mirrors to watch work progress, they only stop half-way through and you have to be assertive to get what you want. Not easy cuz you pay up front & they have their $$ already. These ARE artists and like to do their own thing of creating -- you have a right to get what you want. BUT (and it's a BIG BUT), you really ought to scour his original drawing with a fine tooth comb for anything that does not agree precisely with what you brought him to create the drawing from. THE DRAWING IS WHAT HE WILL MAKE HIS STENCIL FROM AND YOUR TATTOO LINES WILL LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THAT DRAWING -- CORRECT THE DRAWING BEFORE IT GOES TO STENCIL!!!

OK, here is the blow-up altho you may have gotten one by clicking on the pic above. Rob really did a great job on the feathers of my Fighting Falcon (AF Academy mascot is actually a white Arctic Gyrfalcon which is significantly larger than the typical brown prairie falcons of the Colorado Springs area just to the south of the AF Academy.) He put in little flecks of blue which the Arctic Gyrfalcon actually has. Rob highlighted with very straight lines of white in the feathers to make them come alive, but this falcon is unique in its whiteness and far whiter than my pink skin.

So again, I am going to have to pay more for a follow-on session to have a white ink wash tattooed on the breast and upper wings reaching out. I think it will make my bird REALLY FLY like the eagle Rob keeps calling it. Rob's a good guy but WTF would an Army brat know about things Air Force? It's why the AF broke off from the Army in 1947-48! Read all the old General Billy Mitchell stuff before that to see earlier Army-Air Forces internal conflict concerning roles and capabilities. It was the first Chief of Staff of the US Air Force, General Carl "Toeey" Spaatz, who said:

"I guess we considered ourselves a different breed of cat, right in the beginning. We flew through the air and the other people walked on the ground. It was as simple as that!"

HNT #28: Tat Recap -- Summer's Buzzing By!

This may not be the most flattering pose because the wind blew my hair back in front. It IS starting to thin there cuz of my testosterone shots to combat the chronic stress my body's dealt with. I had read earlier that testosterone makes a man's hair thin out contrary to the typical American presumption. I think that WOMEN, as a group, find crown hair on men attractive & sexy!

Surprise, ladies -- the bald guy might just be the sexiest cuz he's probably highest in testosterone! I KNOW a few women are terribly turned on by smooth tops, so maybe they know the sexy secret. Let me know if you find my head-on pose here unflattering and I'll consider that in the future. I chose this pic cuz it shows all 3 tats I have on the same arm -- my "tattoo arm!" Plan IS to stay with that arm only. Next tats will be my 2 flying medals just below the class crest.

Now let me flash back to my 2nd tat which has become an ongoing project as I purrfect it with more favorite girls' initials! You will have seen a hint of it in the pic above -- on the underside of my tattoo arm. It's there because it contains representations of things and people I treasure and which are close to my heart (get it?) Of course, it started with wings and every REAL flier has to have at LEAST one set of wings handy! I don't get to wear my AF wings now except on Veterans Day so I even sleep with these! I just realized the fantasy that might represent since these wings are an adaptation of the logo of the WingHouse wings. [Where I've found my favorite girls lately!] The center has my December birthday's Sagittarius symbol in a stylization that I term my "Sagi- phallius."

Mike, owner-artist of Agony Arts, came up with the way to represent "the wind beneath my wings" by cutting bloodlines first where there was to be blue wind rushing over and under the wings. Those non-inked lines marked the spots for him to stencil the initials of my favorite bartenders for a different color ink (WingHouse has only female bartenders!) Later pics show the blue for the wind placed on & next to the bloodlines.

This "WingHouse regular" tattoo has become a work in progress and continues to evolve. I should have left all the pink in the center but it seemed too much at the time, and I had Mike darken it to red which has faded some since. The Sagiphallius needs more contrast now & I'll probably have it changed to a black outline of the same shape. I plan to add an "A" at the bottom center soon for another favorite bartender (daytime shift, this time)! Luckily, all the bartenders working that day have A-names so I can get some mileage out of an "A" there! And, FINALLY, I got a copy of B's little tat & will copy her Queen's crown exactly to fit above the center of my wings sort of like a pair of British RAF flight wings with the British crown over the center.

"Off we go... Into the wild blue yonder! Climbing high -- into the sun!"
(On my new moto, of course!)

HNT #27: Bikers Are 4 Tats!

This is your Bad-Ass Daddy-O, little girl!

If you've been looking for a bad boy, I'm the best one you could ever find cuz I'm REALLY a GOOD boy who LOOKS like a bad boy! That's the trick to getting one worth staying with -- satisfy your urges with the looks & the sex, but examine underneath (first) if he's worth a damn and not gonna screw you ungodly in the emotional realm! Let me just recommend a book I've given to the Platonic Love of my Life (she's going to college and is in her 20's - my preferred GF age, lately)- "ADDICKTED: Kicking Your Bad Boy Habit! " by Kristina Grish. Now, back to MY Bad Boy habit!

The tat's redness throughout is cuz the pic was taken immediately after 4 hours of cutting into my arm with a needle and black/grey ink. That happens with every tat since the blood rushes to help the skin repair and heal itself. In a couple of weeks, when it has healed enough to cut into it again with some color infusions, the red will be completely gone and the nice grey-work of Rob, my new tattooist, will show up even better.

This design is mostly my US Air Force Academy class crest &, if I hadn't failed 2 courses with 25 semester hours and a 2.09 Cum. GPA, I would have graduated with them a couple of years later. My classmates have certainly welcomed me back & invited me to reunions regularly. I am grateful but I think they also realize that, if anything, the AF Academy is the one place a cadet/student can work TOO hard for his own good, lose sufficient sleep, and flunk out with absolutely NO partying!!!

I went back 13 years later with 2 Master's Degrees as a member of the Faculty for 4 years so I got a few more insights about the Academy. [The cadets loved me as their professor and counselor. I loved them & my 2nd chance! And I love those memories!]

Well, I'll post my other tats next time but it's summer in sunny Florida -- I gotta show you some bikes. Here's a beautiful Harley sidecar set that I'd LOVE to have. Because of my military background, I'm attached to getting a Ural -- modern version of a WW II sidecar the Russians used with a machine-gunner to fight the Nazi's. I'm ordering as soon as an inheritance check comes in! (For REAL!)

But, bikers love gorgeous girls too -- one who can ride a bike is hott in a special way especially if she has tats (think about it.) That's her uncle and his Hayabusa! Old Guys Rule!

I don't know if my other pic will fit here but it'd be a great end to the piece.

Oh, yeah! Tats, bikes, and bikers -- all rolled nicely into 1!

(Not dressed safely this way, but certainly MORE TO SEE!)

HNT #26: Summer Is For Bikers!

Now, looking thru the 'puta for a pic to post,
I found one there of a 3-year old ghost.
It belonged to me B4 I moved to the Coast!

It told me that the dreamz alive,
I must cut the shit & stop the jive!
Get me a bike, be free, & RIDE!

Granted, I was fat & still unscarred.
I hadn't yet met the girls at the bar
of WingHouse or gotten my hard (feeling for them)!

Well, now it's time to forget the past
And buy a bike that'll go real fast
So I can show my tats and get some ass!

[Send Half-Nekkid pics in eMail to apply as a Bad Girl Close to Me!]

Wally's Wedding Story MUST be told!

[From the Blogosphere]

Subject: WALLY'S WEDDING STORY

At 85 years of age, Wally married Anne, a lovely 25-year-old. Since her new husband was so old, Anne decided that, even on their wedding night, she and Wally should have separate bedrooms. This was due to her concern that her new, but aged, husband might overexert himself if they spend the entire night together.

After the wedding festivities, Anne prepared herself for bed and the expected "knock" on the door. Sure enough the knock came, the door opened and there is Wally, her 85-year-old groom, ready for action. They unite as one. All goes well, Wally takes leave of his bride, and she prepares to go to sleep. After a few minutes, Anne hears another knock on her bedroom door, and it's Wally... Again, he is ready for more "action." Somewhat surprised, Anne consents for more coupling.

When the newlyweds are done, Wally kisses his bride, bids her a fond goodnight and leaves. She is set to go to sleep again, but..... Aha, you guessed it! Wally is back again, rapping on the door, as fresh as a 25-year-old ready for more "action." Once again, they enjoy each other.

But as Wally is about to leave again, his young bride says to him, "I am thoroughly impressed that, at your age, you can perform so well and so often! I have been with guys less than a third of your age who were only good once. You are truly a great lover, Wally." Wally, somewhat embarrassed, turns to Anne and says: "You mean I was here already?"

The moral of the story: Don't be afraid of getting old -- Senior moments have advantages!

HNT #25: Take an old bird to Lunch or let him take YOU!

Young Bird: Fred. That's his Canadian name in my nice Florida MH Park. I prefer to call him, "Igor!" The human snowbirds are all back up north in Canada & N. US. (Hurricane chickens!) So this is Igor until Thanksgiving when our hurricane season ends. (Igor/Fred prefers Canadian bacon w/ which my snowbird neighbor lady across the street lovingly spoiled him.) It must be a health food in Thunder Bay but I wonder about the arterial health of their egrets there.

Old Bird: Moi! Just after I shaved my beard and discovered a double chin lurking in this pic -- Oh No!! Back to the beard!!
Well, it's been a year & I've lost more weight so I've trimmed the beard into a Van Gogh/goatee. Charlene, take note of the double-e on the end of your 2nd favorite word--I don't want you mistaking my intentions for those of your horny friend out West! I kinda like how u talk, though! ;-)

SO... It's been months since any of my preferred birds (WH chics) have taken me to lunch (I always pay) & I'm taking applications for lunch dates. Ya GOTTA eat! A Margarita or beer may be involved, if you like. I'm getting kinda tired of Mexican food at Aunt Chilada's & the snoopy waiter who intrudes into my rendezvous WAY too much! How about something French... or Greek? Yeah, THAT's it! Even SOUNDS sexier!! Happy HNT, Gringos!

(PS: Estoy muy triste que no puedo estudiar espanol con mi Querida en la universidad! Pero muy buena suerte con la prueba de miercoles!)

True Story: Goat tries to f*** Charlene_in_AR

Charlene_in_AR: Why didn't you tell me I could be fucked by a goat?

That's Charlene's quote off her interesting (hilarious post) blog from Arkansas. She uses the F-word so fucking obsessively, even THAT becomes fucking humorous. Read all 3 fucking Parts of her... You'll see!

Oh, when u comment, use the F-word a lot so she'll see u get the fucking joke!

HNT #24: Life's STILL a Beach!

The pic on the left was taken using the Beach Camouflage technique and cropped down to enlarge the important stuff!!

OK, SeaRabbit, these are especially for YOU! More of our great Florida Beaches! Actually the bottom 3 pics are from Clearwater Beach which was selected this year by E! Entertainment or somebody else "BIG" as the best beach in the country! I think the girls are some of the best too! (Now, how do I get one of them as a gf?) Baby, any insights to share? If you are in the Tarpon Springs area, note that the top 2 pics are from Howard Park Beach at the north end of St Pete's peninsula! I'll get more pics there on a sunnier day! (Be'be', Voulez-vous rendezvous la' avec moi?)

This was a serendipitous shot above -- the girls here operate a beach umbrella concession & were going out to retrieve their umbrellas with a trailer behind the tractor. We have great homegrown tomatoes on the beaches here, but they are grown in their own homes! LOL
